J. Toy Snipes is an up and coming writer/novelist whose love for writing
has enabled him to capture and hold the interest of his readers. He
has the ability to lead his readers down the path of uncertainty and
unpredictability before unleashing an ending that is totally surprising
and satisfying.
Aside from being a writer, J. Toy Snipes is an accomplished stand
up comedian whose tours have taken him throughout the United States
and abroad. His years of traveling and work experience have given
him the opportunity to write from a first hand point of view.
His sense of humor as well as his divorce prompted him to write and
publish: It Might Be Time to File Those Divorce Papers When....: 100
Ways to Tell If Your Marriage Is In Trouble. But it was his dedication
to fatherhood and fathers' rights that prompted him to write, Mama's
Baby: Daddy's Maybe: A handbook for the alleged father. (out of print)
His other writing endeavors include several short stories along with
an earlier completed fictional manuscript entitled: In My
Corner and his first published novel, Changing of
the Guards.
Born in Romulus, Michigan and now residing in the Los Angeles area
with his son, he is currently working on his third novel,
Beneath the Bridge.
Being a graduate of California State University, Long Beach, J. Toy
Snipes holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Public Administration
with emphasis in Personnel Management. Currently, he holds the position
of Job Developer with the Los Angeles County Office of Education where
he provides consultation and training in the area of job search preparation
skills. The Ultimate Job Search Preparation Handbook, is a result
of his many years of training and experience in this field.
